Sam Rempe touches up the painting that was done inside the R and K gasoline station recently. The painting project was one of the last details to be done to complete the remodeling project.
R and K Service Station located in Lawrence at 101 East Second Street, has been closed to the community for more than three weeks. The gasoline station is currently being remodeled, and the project is anticipated to be completed in two weeks.
The first phase of the project was to gut the entire building. Taking out everything from the cabinetry to the flooring took some time to accomplish. They've installed new flooring, painted walls, replaced cabinetry, installed new lighting fixtures and a plethora of many tasks have been completed to update the gasoline station to provide a beautiful and safe business for the community.
River Gypsy Building Company, owned by Robert Sintek, has been contracted for the job. The business is located in Edgar at 800 Gipe Street. They have a current contractor license and have been in business for more than three years. Along with scheduling many different types of remodeling and construction jobs, they build steel buildings and pole barns. Their main goal is customer satisfaction.
