Sandy Creek boys dominate SHS

The Sandy Creek Cougars establish dominance early in the game Saturday afternoon with Wildcats basketball action at Sandy Creek. They won 60-20. The game started slow, but by the end of the first quarter, Sandy Creek led 17-6. Then outscored the Wildcats 22 to 4 in the second quarter. The game finished with a running clock in the fourth.

The Wildcats scored only 10 points in each half.

Colten Butler and Dayne Clark both scored 8 points. Mason Korb and DeClan Miller both scored two points.

Sandy Creek had four players in double figures including Kamerin Sealey with 15, Jack Clark 12 (four- three point short), Ethan Shaw and Evan Swartzendruber each had 10.

Wes Biltoft added nine points, Jacob Peter three and Christian Shaw with one.

The Wildcats complete two of four free throws, while Sandy Creek 10 out of 18.

Superior turned the ball over 15 times while the Cougars had nine turnovers.
