Dale Eugene Werner, 67, of Hebron, Nebraska, the son of Eugene and Marilyn (Fintel) Werner, was born March 14, 1957, in Fairbury. He died Dec. 30, 2024, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler. Dale grew up in Hebron, spending his entire life there. Dale attended school in Hebron graduating from Hebron High School in 1976.
Dale worked at several jobs around Hebron, starting at Standard Market, followed by the grain elevator, then D & D Feeds, later to become Werner and Son Feed. Then back to the grain elevator and finally working at Sack Lumber the past 30 plus years. Dale enjoyed working outside with cattle. He enjoyed bowling and was on several leagues, which enabled him to do some traveling for national tournaments throughout the states. He had many trips to Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada, which he enjoyed and made many friends along the way. He was a active member of the Izaak Walton League. Dale took great interest in his friends and family’s activities and was always ready to help, anyone in need.
Dale was preceeded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his four sisters, Mrs. Jim Brokaw (Mary) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Dick Fessler (Carol) of Grafton, Karen Werner of Munden, Kansas, Mrs. Eric Engelman (Kathy) of Diller; and brother, Gene Werner of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
His funeral was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at Grace Lutheran Church, Hebron, with Pastor Keith Brozek officiating.
