Jewell County Community Development announced on Tuesday that Jennifer Urbaniak had been appointed director of the association.
As the association director, she will lead economic development initiatives, help with grant programs and foster community partnerships. She will work with local businesses, government officials and community members to identify and implement strategies that enhance the economic vitality and quality of life in Jewell County.
I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work toward a future where Jewell County is a vibrant place for people to live and prosper, a place I’ve always been proud to call home,” said Urbaniak.
She graduated from Mankato Junior-Senior High School and Fort Hayes State University. She lives in Mankato with her husband, Vincent, and their dog, Lucy.
She takes on this role from the outgoing coordinator, Kyra (Lampe) Gritten, who has transitioned into a full-time role with the Jewell County Community Foundation as its director.
Gritten will remain with the organization in a part-time capacity and help with the transition and implementation of programs.
