The Minden Whippets won 46-40 over the Superior Lady Wildcats in overtime, Friday night, in the first round of the Grand Island Central Catholic Holiday tournament. Throughout the game, the teams' scores were tied several times. Then one or the other team would take off with a run to lead. For example, Superior had a six point lead in the fourth quarter.
Minden, the second ranked team in C-1, out played Superior, the second ranked D-1 team, in overtime earning them a season record of 7-1.
