The L-N boys’ basketball team traveled a ways west last week to earn the right to even up their record before the end of the year, 2024. They took on the class C-2 school, Eustis-Farman, also known as Hi-Line. The boys put together a strong game and came home with a 60-42 victory on its record, making the season record to date: 3-3.
Because of electronic difficulties we don’t have complete statistics to report, but it appears the Raiders played a pretty steady game. They outscored Hi-Line 41-25 in the first half and 21-17 in the second half.
Without stats and video of the first half of play, we can report the third period saw L-N expanded their lead to 23 points during a scoring spree by Carter Griffis in the last half of this period.
The biggest lead of the game came with a couple of minutes left in the game when Wyatt Frey scored to make the score 60-35.
L-N did not score in the last 5:55 of the game as they were plagued with a number of turnovers.
We’re sorry to not report on the complete game, but technology does have its problems. We will report the stats in next week’s newspaper.
The season continues this week as L-N entertains Hampton on Thursday, Jan. 2.
