Cohen Alan Edgar, the son of Bradley and Deonna (Sole) Edgar, was born on Aug. 7, 1997, in Kearney, Nebraska. He died on Dec. 26, 2024, at his residence in Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 27 years, 4 months, 19 days.
Cohen grew up in Hastings attending grade school there and his junior and senior high at Lawrence-Nelson, graduating with the Class of 2015. He enjoyed being outdoors which included camping, fishing and country drives in Grandpa Al's pickup. Cohen was a Lego Aficionado. He had an inquisitive mind and a genius for knowing how things worked, taking them apart just to put them back together. He enjoyed cooking and discovered that love while cooking at D & D's Lyon's Den in Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Edgar and Allen Sole.
He is survived by his parents, Bradley and Deonna; sister Dairien Edgar (Tyler Holland) of Fremont; grandmothers, Margaret Edgar and Karen Sole; fiancé, Anna Ackerman of Grand Island; nephews, Oliver and Sam; and nieces, Sarah and Serenity; other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at the Elk Creek Country Club in Nelson.
Private family inurnment in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Oak, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested to go to the family.
