Central Valley Ag Esbon Co-op is closing its doors, the gasoline pumps and building will all go up for sale. They will announce more in the sale in the next couple of weeks. It’s thought they’ve closed several facilities in Nebraska over the last year.
Apparently there is not enough business to keep the elevator open. Although the fuel pumps are extremely important to the residents of Esbon, it’s not enough for the co-op to continue on. Apparently there there was a letter sent out to the farmers in the area that advised of the closing. Esbon residents are hopeful someone will take it over, or at least the fuel pumps.
