Holidays changing newspaper schedules

With the two biggest holidays of the year coming on the mailing days for this newspaper in the next two weeks, some changes must be implemented in our production schedules.

For those two issues, instead of Tuesday nights, the paper will be printed on Monday nights and entered into the mail on Tuesdays. Papers will be available for purchase at the newstands in Superior, Nelson and Mankato on Tuesday morning, Hopefully, delivery to mail subscribers will be on the regular day which for many is Thursday. The e-edition will be available on the internet Tuesday afternoon.

This year the Christmas and New Year holidays fall on Wednesday.

We plan to print Letters to Santa Claus in the next issue along with many Christmas greeting messages from area business firms. However, a number of businesses have chosen to publish their greeting advertisements this week along with notices of changes in their operating hours associated with the holidays. We encourage all of our readers to read the advertisements and make note of hour changes.

In general most firms will be closing early on both Dec. 24 and Dec. 30.

Because of the earlier printing and mailing times, we are requesting copy for the two holiday issues be submitted as soon as possible, preferably on Friday but every effort will be made to process copy received after that.
