Julie Renee Bolte, age 51, entered into rest Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas. She was born on June 29, 1973, in Beloit, Kansas to Dennis and Norma (McElroy) Conn.
She was a 1991 graduate of Jewell High School, Jewell. After high school, she attended Cloud County Community College for one year.
She married Francis Bolte on Sept. 25, 1993, in Jewell. To this union two daughters were born, Jocelyn and Raelyn.
She was a member of the Jewell Global Methodist Church and attended the Randall Community Church.
Julie worked for USD 279 Jewell-Randall as a cook until the time the school closed in 2009. She then went to work for USD 426 Pike Valley as a cook and later a librarian-para where she cherished her time working with the students and staff for 15 years. She enjoyed attending ball games, playing the piano, farming, reading and camping. Most of all she loved time with her beloved family and friends.
Julie is survived by her husband, Francis Bolte, Randall, Kansas; daughters Jocelyn Ishler and husband, Tim, of Randall, and Raelyn Bolte of the home; father, Dennis Conn of Randall; sisters, Jennifer Flavin and husband, Kelly, of Formoso, and Jackie Cooper and husband, Kade, of Courtland; in-laws, Lannis and Bonnie Bolte of Jewell; Norma (Tom) Schwerman, Laura (Ron) Weber, Phil Bolte, Mike (Becky) Bolte, Jane Jackson, Jim (Elisha) Bolte, and Judy (Gerald) Sekavec; nieces and nephews Michael, Brennan, Lauren and Jaren Flavin, Andrew and Kinley Cooper, Rachel Fath, Ryan Schwerman, Lisa Colson, and Logan Schwerman, Gayle Donaldson, Lucas and Linsey Bolte, Jennifer Shelton, Kris Allen, and Marc Bolte, Aaryn Jackson, Diedrick and Brandt Bolte, and several great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma; grandparents, Gilber and Ila McElroy, and Keith and Vesta Conn.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024 from 1 to 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
Her funeral is at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) Nov. 14, at the Jewell Global Methodist Church, Jewell with Pastor Dan Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Randall Cemetery, Randall.
