RHHS football heads to post season

The Rock Hills High School football team concluded their 2024 regular season schedule with a 56-8 loss to the Clifton-Clyde Eagles at Clyde Friday.

The Rock Hills High School football team departed with a loss in their final regular season game. The Grizzlies finished with a 5-3 record.

The Grizzly offense was nonexistent against a staunch Eagles defense. The lone Rock Hills touchdown came from an interception return by Isaiah Ridgeway.

Ridgeway completed 1 of 2 pass attempts for 13 yards. Cooper McDill was pressured all game long. He completed 4 of 22 pass attempts for 24 yards. Camden Ward netted two passes for 16 yards. Ridgeway recorded one reception for 18 years. Eli Whelchel covered five yards with his one reception. Eli Vance suffered a two yard loss with his lone reception.

Ridgeway picked up 64 yards on 17 carries. McDill picked up six yards with his 19 carries. Vance had four yards on his lone carry. Ward was good for 26 yards with his two carries.

Rock Hills travels to Brookville Friday for a Class 8 player D1 playoff game against Eli-Saline.
