Cross country runners from the boys and girls teams of Superior and Lawrence-Nelson High Schools competed for places at the state championship meet Thursday at the District D-4 meet hosted by McCool Junction High School. The 5 K races were run over the Camp Kateri course.
The Superior boys team finished in 15th place in the 15 team field with 165 points. Gabe Zavela finished with a time of 22:29.66 for 54th place in the 78 runner field. Deylin Lawson was in 58th place with his time of 22:55.19. Cooper Sheely had a time of 26:25.05 for 74th place. Ethan Johnson took 78th place with his time of 26:55.09.
Sawyer Cox held 52nd place with his time of 22:25.83 for Lawrence-Nelson. Leslie Corman was in 66th place with his time of 24::06.53.
Kynnedy Beale just missed qualifying for the state meet with her 17th place finish for the Lawrence-Nelson girls with her time of 23:15.92. Tenley Siebecker finished in 36th place for Superior with her time of 26:26.03.
