Sheila Sjoholm

Sheila Louise Sjoholm, the daughter of Wendell and Evelyn (Walbridge) Beck, was born on March 30, 1949, in Nelson, Nebraska. She died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at Brodstone Healthcare at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 17 days.

Sheila attended school in Superior and Hardy. She was united in marriage to Dennis Noble in 1966 at Belleville, Kansas, and to this union Wayne and Kevin were born. In 1980, she married John Sjohom and Darren was born to this union.

Sheila was a huge figure in Hardy, being the owner and operator of Do Drop In. She will be truly missed not only for her business and delicious food, but the many patrons who gathered there to reminisce and share stories which was a part of so many especially the coffee drinkers.

She was a Village of Hardy board member. She truly liked cooking and caring for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Evelyn; husband, Dennis Noble; son, Wayne Noble; and great-grandson, Max McMains.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Claudette) Noble of Belleville and Darren (Amy) Sjoholm of Grand Island; and daughter, Jasmyn (Gary) Bartholomew of Hardy; five grandchildren, Peyton Ruhnke, Carter Ruhnke, Ryker Sjoholm, Tessa McMains and Memphis Bartholomew; and two great-grandsons, Mason McMains and Morgan McMains; siblings, Wendell (Fay) Beck of Vancouver, Rick Beck of Washougal, Washington, Steve Beck of San Antonio, Sheryl (Wayne) Kostiuk of Sabetha, Kansas, Shelly Beck of Omaha, Lisha (Nathanael) Payne of Morristown, Tenessee, and Sandra Carter of Omaha, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Her funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating.

Music was recordings of "Can't Be Really Gone," "Go Rest High on That Mountain," "Heaven Was Needing a Hero," and "In the Stars."

Visitation was held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 to greet friends.

Pallbearers were Matt Bargen, Doyle Christensen, Phil Simonsen, Brock Hanel, Jack Clark and Todd Kroeger. Honorary pallbearers were Mason McMains, Morgan McMains, Tessa McMains, Ryker Sjoholm, Peyton Ruhnke, Carter Ruhnke and Memphis Bartholomew.

Interment was at 3 p.m. in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, rural Norway, Kansas.
