Andy Coffman

Nathan Andrew "Andy" Coffman, 56, Gardner, Kansas, died at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024. Andy asked for cremation with a service at a future date. Condolences may be left at http://www.brucefuneralhome.com

Andy was born in Hays, Kansas, on Sept. 12, 1968. He attended junior high in Mankato, Kansas, and in 1988 graduated from Hoxie High School, Hoxie, Kansas. Andy earned a vocational technical degree in Good-land, Kansas, and worked as a drafter and CAD manager for various engineering firms in Kansas City.

On March 9, 1991, Andy married Carla Kay Peterson in Hays. Together they had a son, Caiden Andrew, and a daughter, Caenah Alaine. Andy liked anything scientific or dealing with space and had a passion for history. He enjoyed many hobbies including woodworking, cooking, gardening and making jam. Andy was most proud of his role as Papa Dandy to granddaughter Clara Zaida.

Andy is survived by his wife, Carla, and daughter, Caenah, Gardner, Kansas; son, Caiden, his wife, Brianne, and their daughter, Clara Coffman, Olathe, Kansas; sister Nannette Coffman, Ottawa, Kansas; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Calvin Coffman and Kathrine B. (Margheim) Kurka, as well as aunts and uncles.
