Midway Co-op Association, in conjunction with Land O'Lakes, donated $4,000 to the Burr Oak Fire Department.
Land O'Lakes, a regional cooperative, matches dollar-for-dollar cash donations from its local cooperative members like Midway Co-op. The donations are designed to help purchase fire equipment for the community. It is their way to thank firefighters, especially those volunteers in local communities.
"For the second year in a row, with the support of Land O'Lakes, we donated a total of $4,000 to all 10 local fire departments for a total of $40,000. Midway donated $2,000 that was matched by Land O'Lakes to all the departments. We are proud to support our local fire departments and appreciate their continued commitment. We are fortunate to have strong fire departments protecting our communities and we hope these donations will help with any extra supplies or tools they may need," said Craig Mans, general manager.
