SHS downs St. Cecilia 40-14

The Sueprior High School football team claimed a convincing 40-14 win over the Hastings St. Cecilia Bluehawks at Brodstone Memorial Field Friday.

The Bluehawks bore no resemblance to their once dominating teams from the past. This version of the Bluejawks remain winless after this embarassment.

Superior opened up a 33-0 lead at the half and never looked back. They extended the lead to 40-0 after three quarters of play. The Bluehawks managed to score two touchdowns in fourth quarter garbage time as Superior substituted freely at allow players to gain real game experience.

Lincoln Sander completed four of his nine pass attempts for 44 ysrds. Kyler Boyles completed his one pass attempt to pick up 44 yards.

Dayne Clark and Sander each had one reception for 44 yeards each. Kamden Boyles reeled in two passes for two yards. Colten Butler had one catch for a two yard loss.

Kyler Boyles covereed 187 yards with his 22 carries. He scored five touchdowns. L. sander picked up 45 yards with nine carries. He scored one touchdown. Kamden Boyles picked up 14 yards with his seven carries.

Clark recorded five solo tackles. Kyler Boyles, Butler and Thomas Mathlis claimed three solo tackles each. Kamden Boyles listed two solo tackle. Joe Kerrigan, Luis Alvarado, L. Sander and Cannon Corman each recorded a solo tackle.

Trey Blau netted an interception while Kyler Boyles had a sack.

The Wildcats visit Wood River Friday. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
