The Superior High School cross country team competed at the Franklin Invitational run over the Franklin Golf Club course last Tuesday.
The boys 5K varsity race had Superior in 12th place, with 120 points, in the 13 team field. Daylin Lawson was in 46th place, with his time of 23:47.2 in the 75 runner field. Gabe Zavala followed in 47th place with his time of 27:47.31. Sawyer Nightingale took 48th place with his time of 23:58.02. Cooper Sheely tooks 60th place with his time of 26:37.95. Jacob Slate held 70th place with his time of 28:10.73. Ethan Johnson was in 71st place with his time of 28:22.63.
Tenley Siebecker took 34th place, with her time of 29:52.02, in the 5K girls race. There were 40 runners in the field.
The boys middle schools team finished in sixth place in the six team field, with 63 points, in the 1.1 mile run.
Victor Wagoner claimed 14th place with his time of 5:55.06, in the 49 runner field. Kalian Hiatt was in 34th place with his time of 6:45.36. Wyatt Stephens was in 37th with his time of 6:53.34.
The girls team was in fourth place in the four team field with 28 points.
Olivia Wagner arned sixth place with her time of 6:15.07. Lily Wyatt was in 19th place with her time of 8:11.25. Haylee Fuller held 22nd place with her time orf 8:37.17. Brennan Littrell caught 24th place with her time of 9:01.41. Annasten Grassman was in 25th place with her time of 9:02.49.
The team competes at the Beloit Invitational today (Thursday) The meet is expected to attract a large field of 24 schools. It has been moved to the Cawker City Golf Club course on the shores of Waconda Lake. First race gun time is 3:45 p.m.
