The Rock Hills High School volleyball team continue their torrid run. They ran their consecutive win streak to 16.
The Grizzlies hosted St. John’s-Tipton and Lakeside at Mankato last Tuesday. They avenged an early season loss to St. John’s with a two-set, 25-20 and 25-17 , sweep. They put away Lakeside, 25-6 and 25-10, in two sets to improve to 19-1 for the season. The Grizzlies hosted Pike Valley and Sylvan-Lucas at Mankato Tuesday with match results unavailable at press time. Halle Mizner topped the Rock Hills kill chart against St. John’s with nine. Savannah Coil produced seven kills. Dacey Beck pushed down four kills. Alex Fogo handled three kills. Ally Beck, Bethany Simmelink and Carsyn Vizner were responsible for a kill each. Mizner zipped through two aces. A. Beck dazzled with 16 digs. D. Beck and Simmelink lifted up six digs apiece. Mizner took care of five digs. Vizner handled three digs. Fogo listed two digs. Coil finished with one dig.
Mizner held the net against Lakeside with eight kills. Coil stepped up with four kills. D. Beck, Taygen Meier, Simmelink and Vizner added a kill apiece. Simmelink sliced through four aces. D. Beck accounted for three aces. A. Beck cleaned up with 11 digs. D. Beck added four digs. Mizner and Simmelink contributed three digs each. Coil, Fogo, Mizner and Vizner were each good for a dig.
The Grizzlies host their invitational tournament at Mankato Saturday. Rock Hills visits Lincoln Tuesday for a triangular match with Lincoln and St. John’s-Tipton.
