The Lawrence-Nelson High School volleyball team went 4-2 for their past six matches improving their record to 6-11.
The Raiders fell to Thayer Central at Lawrence last Tuesday, 16-25 and 11-25, in a triangular match hosted by Lawrence-Nelson. The Raiders swept Fillmore Central, 25-15 and 25-19, in two sets. They edged the Silver Lake Mustangs in three sets, 25-22, 22-25,19-25, 25-21 and 16-14, at Roseland Thursday. They competed at the Hampton Invitational Saturday. They fell to the Deshler Dragons, 19-25, 25-18 and 18-25, in three sets. They handed the Heartland Huskies a two-set, 25-22 and 25-16, sweep. The East Butler Tigers were dispatched in two sets, 25-18 and 25-14. The Raiders hosted the Elm Creek Buffaloes, Tuesday, at Lawrence with match results unavailable at press time.
Josie Hajny and Kara Menke made four kills apiece against Thayer Central. Brynn Harrison was good for three kills. Hanna Skinner knocked down two kills, Addi McCloskey had a kill. Hajny and McCloskey swept up six digs each. Menke lifted up five digs. Skinner listed four digs. Val Koehler produced three digs. Harrison posted two digs. Bayleigh Bohlen and Koehler had one dig each.
Menke stepped up for 10 kills against Fillmore Central with 10. Harrison provided the Raiders with six kills. Hajny and Skinner added four kills apiece. Kali Cassell had two kills. Skinner sliced through three aces. Hajny and Menke each scored with an ace. Skinner cleaned up the floor with 10 digs. McCloskey contributed seven digs. Koehler posted five digs. Menke popped up four digs. Harrison finished with three digs. Hajny had a dig.
Statistics were unavailable for the Silver Lake, Deshler, Heartland and East Butler matches.
The Raiders host Nebraska Lutheran at Lawrence Tuesday.
