L-N Raiders smother Deshler by score of 64-38

Putting 102 points on the score board in a single game of football keeps the people in charge of those things somewhat busy during a ball game. However, that happened last Friday evening in the annual battle between the L-N Raiders and the Deshler Dragons. L-N hung almost twice as many points on the score board as did Deshler: 64-38 in the game on the local field in Lawrence.

Deshler did, however, fight to the end. They gave the Raiders trouble with some "big" plays having three plays more than 60 yards and three plays more than 30 yards. Deshler started matching L-N touchdown for touchdown, but had trouble scoring point after attempts and enough touchdowns to keep matching the Raider prolific offense.

The Raider defense limited Deshler to only one successful point after attempt after six attempts. Defensive statistics were divided up by the Raider team. Five players had tackles for losses; L-N recorded two sacks and three interceptions.

L-N responded with a combination of rushing and passing to rack up their third win of the season and earning a season record of three wins and two losses to date.

Wyatt Frey racked up impressive numbers as he had 268 rushing yards on 28 carries and 174 yards passing on 13 of 17 pass attempts.

Score by quarter:
