Thirty-two golfers came out Sunday for the Two Couple Scramble Tournament to finish out the 2024 golf season at the Lawrence Country Club. Winners in the championship flight were the team of Dale and Tami Kohmetscher and Keith and Carolyn Kohmetscher with a 2-round total of 57. Coming in second place were Dean and Sue Stromer and Rich and Karen Faimon with a score of 60.
First flight winners were Terry and Melissa Cox and Bailey Cox and Brady Miller with a 64. Second place in the first flight were Lefty and Linda Kohmetscher and Carol Lemke and Dave Kohmetscher also shooting a 64.
Later in the evening, the club hosted a prime rib supper served by Perry Ridgeway open to all club members. Forty-five individuals enjoyed the delicious meal and time visiting with each other.
Awards were given for the club tournament held the prior weekend. The Ladies’ Club Tournament was won by Tami Kohmetscher shooting an 18-hole total of 74. Beth Himmelberg finished second with a 74, and third went to Peg Kohmetscher with a 76.
The Men’s Club Tournament was won by Randy Kohmetscher with a 70. Second place went to Greg Pohlmeier with a 72 and Phil Schroer came in third with a 72. The first flight winner was Keith Kohmetscher, while second and third place went to Carl Kohmetscher and Dave Kohmetscher respectively.
Door prizes at the banquet went to Michelle Streff, Lacie Schroer, Brad Kohmetscher, Tim Streff, Carla Kohmetscher, Karen Hofstetter, Randy Kohmetscher, Lefty Kohmetscher and Paula Kohmetscher. The free membership for the 2025 season was won by Linda Kohmetscher.
