The Lawrence-Nelson High School voleyball team continues to feel the wrath of its schedule.

The Raiders received an unfriendly welcome at Friend, last Tuesday, when the Exeter-Milligan-Friend Bobcats handed them a 17-25, 17-25 and 21-25 sweep. Their visit to Deshler Thursday resulted in a narrow five set, 18-25, 25-17, 25-27, 25-20 and 13-15 loss. A return to Friend Saturday brought the team no relief. The Aquinas Monarchs handed them a 25-17, 14-25 and 23-25, three set loss. The Sutton Mustangs piled on with a three set 21-25, 25-20 and 22-25 win. Results were unavailable for Tuesday’s triangular match with Harvard and Kenesaw at Harvard.

Kara Menke led the Raider killers against E-M-F with nine. Hanna Skinner delivered five kills. Josie Hajny and Bryn Harrison posted two kills each. Val Koehler scored with three aces. Menke lined through an ace. Skinner came through with 12 digs. Addi McCloskey claimed 11 digs. Koehler lifted up 10 digs. Harrison produced eight digs. Menke secured five digs. Maddi Laughlin and Hajny added two digs each. Codi Cannaday had one dig. Menke held the net for 24 kills against Deshler. Hajny pounded down 14 kills. Harrison slammed down nine kills. Skinner listed three kills. Skinner slashed through four aces. Harrison pumped through three aces. McCloskey aned Menke accounted for two aces apiece. Hajny and Koehler each scored with an ace. Koehler cleaned up 21 digs. Harrison scoured her way to 18 digs. Menke accounted for two digs. Skinner had a dig.

Menke topped the Raider killers with 14 against Aquinas. Skinned landed seven kills. Harrison, Koehler and Laughlin each registered a kill. McCloskey and Skinner each zipped through an ace. Harrison, Koehler, Laughlin and Menke each scored with an ace. McCloskey led the diggers with 13. Skinner popped up with 12 digs. Menke contributed eight digs. Laughlin kicked in five digs. Kali Cassell and Harrison each had a dig.

Menke stood up for 17 kills against Sutton. Skinner returned eight kills. Bayleigh Boh len and McCloskey eac reported a kill. Menke sent through four aces. McCloskey put away three aces. harrison and Skinner each scored with an ace. McCloskey totaled 15 digs. Skinner and Menke cleared up seven digs apiece. Koehler took care of six digs. Harrison and Laughlin added four digs each. Cassell contributed two digs. Natalie Wehrman added a dig.

The Raiders travel to Shelton today (Thursday) to take on the Bulldogs. Lawrence-Nelson will host a triangular match at Lawrence Tuesday with Thayer Central and Fillmore Central.
