The Lawrence-Nelson cross country team opened their season at the Superior Invitational, Tuesday, Sept. 3. The races were run over the Superior Country Club course. Sawyer Cox finished in 24th place with his time of 22:12 in the boys varsity race. Leslie Corman took 45th place with his time of 25:48. This was Corman’s first race.
Kynnedy Beale earned the 15th place medal in the girls race with her time of 25:43.
Jaxen Vaughn was in 11th place in the boys junior high race with his time of 8:25.
Cox took 47th at the Fairbury Invitational Thursday with his time of 22:53. Corman improved his time with a 73rd place time of 26:47.
Beale finished in 28th place with her time of 26:10.
Vaughn ran the 2400 meter junior high race with his time of 9:01 for a 24th place finish.
The team competes at the Fillmore Central Invitational today (Thursday). The junior high race begins at 4:15 p.m.
