Nuckolls Co. buys John Deere grader, updates basement

The Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners met at the county courthouse in Nelson Monday.

The board approved routine claims. The board approved the purchase of a road maintainer for the county road department from Murphy Tractor in Grand Island. The John Deere machine was purchased on at a state contract price and has six-wheel drive.

The board discussed electrical work required to bring the basement electrical work up to code. C-Tech recently completed extensive work to resolve the moisture issues in the basement. The work left sections of wiring and outlets exposed.
