Barb Elbracht, Rock Hills band teacher, is set to receive an award for being an Outstanding Junior High Educator on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Junior High KMEA Honor Concert. She was nominated by a peer in the profession and was chosen as the recipient by the executive board The award is given for the hard work and dedication to her program through the years. It has been recognized by her peers and they are giving the award to those teachers who show passion and desire to help grow music in our communities.
Elbracht has taught band in Mankato for 26 years. She has also taught at USD No. 399 Natoma and Clearwater, Nebraska.
