The Superior High School volleyball team has put itself on the winning track. They swept the Fillmore Central Panthers, 25-11, 25-20 and 25-11, in three sets at the high school gymnasium last Tuesday.

The Wildcats retained Nuckolls County bragging rights when they swept Lawrence-Nelson 25-12, 25-16 and 25-9, at Lawrence, Thursday.

Superior faced a tough test, Saturday, when they competed at the Beatrice Invitational. They faced off against three Class B schools and won two of their three matches.

The Elkhorn Antlers edged the Wildcats 24-26 and 23-25, for a two-set sweep. Superior bounced back with a 25-19 and 25-29 sweep of the Lincoln Northwest Falcons. They closed out the day with a 22-25, 25-20 and 25-19 win over the host Beatrice Orangemen.

Superior competed against Doniphan-Trumbull and Kenesaw, at Doniphan, Tuesday, with results unavailable at press time.

Reagan Meyers dominated at the net against Fillmore Central with 31 kills. Ava Kirchhoff recorded six kills. Cora Schnakenberg added four kills for the Wildcats. Faith Butler listed three kills. Halle Bargen was good for two kills. Sadie Cornell had one kill. Cornell sliced through three aces. Mia Gardner lined through two aces. Bargen, Butler and Schnakenberg each scored with an ace.

Meyers notched 27 kills against Lawrence-Nelson. Bargen put up three kills. Butler and Kirchhoff accounted for two kills apiece. Khloe Mundorf and Schnakenberg had a kill apiece. Bargen acquired 21 digs during the match. Meyers added 214 digs. Butler swept up 10 digs. Gardner listed eight digs. Cornell finished the match with seven digs.

Meyers zipped through five aces against the Raiders. Bargen and Gardner responded with three aces apiece. Butler, Cornell and Schnakenberg accounted for an ace apiece. Gardner posted 10 digs. Meyers accounted for nine digs. Bargen secured seven digs, Butler was good for six digs. Cornell registered four digs. Schnakenberg took care of three digs. Mundorf had a dig.

Meyers had 14 kills at the net against Elkhorn. Bargen and Schnakenberg put up three kills apiece. Kirchhoff posted two kills. Butler added a kill Gardner lashed through five aces, Meyers scored with an ace. Bargen recorded nine digs. Butler swept up eight digs. Gardner and Meyers procured seven digs each. Mundorf and Schnakenberg had a dig each.

Meyers landed 11 kills against Lincoln Northwest. Bargen put away three kills. Schnakenberg held the net for two kills. Butler, Jordan Duncan and Kirchoff had a kill apiece. Duncan lined through three aces. Gardner, Meyers and Schnakenberg each scored with an ace. Bargen led the diggers with nine. Meyers picked up eight digs. Butler accounted for four digs. Gardner caught up with three digs. Duncan, Mundorf and Schnakenberg listed a dig each.

Meyers was busy at the net against Beatrice with 24 kills. Bargen chipped in eight kills. Butler was good for three kills. Schnakenberg had a kill. Bargen and Meyers recorded two aces each. Butler and Schnakenberg each scored with an ace. Meyers dug the ball out 15 times. Butler followed up with 14 digs. Gardner rooted around for 13 digs. Bargen came away with nine digs. Schnakenberg claimed five digs. Mundorf served up two digs. Duncan and Kirchhoff listed a dig each.

The Wildcats face a tough test, today (Thursday), when they host Bruning-Davenport-Shickley at the high school gymnasium. Superior faces another grueling day Saturday when they compete at the four-team Sandy Creek Invitational. The Wildcats visit Sutton Tuesday for a match with the Mustangs.
