Nuckolls County Knights football

The Nuckolls County Knights, the middle school football team made up of students from Superior and Lawrence-Nelson, opened their season last Tuesday.

The Blue Hill Bobcats took the field as the opponents at Lawrence.

The Knights established their bona fides with a 55-yard touchdown on their first play of the game.

The team continued to dominate on both sides of the ball coming away with a 38-0 win.

Mike Sander, coach, said, “I am very proud of the effort the boys showed and this was definitely a team win. Blocking was sound and the tackling was aggressive. “
