The Rock Hills high School volleyball team kicked off the regular 2024 season with two wins at the Pike Valley triangular match at Scandia Friday.
The Grizzlies made quick work of Pike Valley with a two-set, 25-9 and 25-5. The Grizzlies swept Tescott in two sets, 25-12 and 25-21.
The Grizzlies competed at the St. John’s-Tipton triangular, at Tipton, Tuesday. Match results were unavailable at press time.
Halle Mizner led the Rock Hills Rock Hills killers against Pike Valley with four. Bethany Simmelink and Alex Fogo accounted for three kills apiece.
Carsyn Vizner, Taygen Meier and Ally Beck added one kill each.
Vizner slammed through six aces. A. Beck and Simmelink scored with four aces each. Dacey Beck put through an ace.
Meier found her way to two digs. Vizner, D. Beck, Mizner and A. Beck had a dig apiece.
Mizner topped the kill chart against Tescott with 7. Vizner and Fogo notched three kills apiece. Savannah Coil posted two kills.
D. Beck, Coil and Simmelink contributed three aces each. Mizner laced through two aces. A. Beck and Vizner registered an ace apiece.
A. Beck cleaned the floor with nine digs. Simmelink and Vizner netted three digs each. Meier accounted for two digs, Coil and Fogo handled a dig each.
The Grizzlies host Osborne and Thunder Ridge at Mankato Tuesday for a triangular match.
