The Rock Hills High School football team gets the 2024 season underway, Friday, when they travel to Beloit to take on St. John’s. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
Wyatt Flynn returns as head coach. Stuart Vance and Jarrett Christie serve as assistant coaches. Kaden Wurm is the student manager.
The team looks to improve on their 3-6 record from last season. They were eliminated in the first round of post-season play.
The team returns the bulk of its starters from last season. There are several freshmen who will be looked to as contributors on both sides of the ball.
Senior class members of the team are Isaiah Ridgeway, Christian Wurm, Cooper McDill, Eli Vance, Nate Meyers, Camden Ward and Jevan Herfel.
Ethan Wirth, Whitley Frost, Nelson Underwood and Draiden Ault represent the junior class.
Justin Luong, Eli Whelchel, Ty Vance and Christopher Herfel make up the sophomore class contingent.
Gabe O’Connor, Layn Badger, Zak Dean, and Leighten Ault are the freshmen class team members.
The Grizzlies make their home debut at Mankato, Friday, Sept. 13, when they host the Thunder Ridge Longhorns.
