Lawrence native and longtime Downey, California resident, LaVona Howard, died last week on Aug. 4, 2024 in California.
LaVona was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Webster County, Nebraska, to Steve and Cecelia (Kitten) Krebsbach.
She is survived by brother, Arnold Krebsbach and sister, Julia (Lonnie) Banks, three stepdaughters and families and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joe Howard; parents; brothers, Jerome and David and sister, Lois Menke.
