County fair receives AED machine grant

Nuckolls County Ag Society receives a $2,100 grant

The Nuckolls County Ag Society has received a $2,100 grant to fund the purchase of an AED machine and relevant training classes. The grant is provided through FCS America’s Working Here Fund. Fair board member Kylie Kinley wrote and submitted the grant.

The Working Here Fund grant will provide funds to purchase an AED machine for the fairgrounds and buy AED training classes for fairboard members. The machine has been installed in the meeting room in the commercial building at the fairgrounds.

“We’re grateful Working Here Fund has allowed us to have this life-saving equipment on site,” said Dustin Cassell, Nuckolls County Ag Society president.

The Nuckolls County Ag Society is one of nearly 200 organizations to receive a Working Here Fund grant in the second quarter of 2024. FCSAmerica awarded more than $1.5 million during the latest grant cycle ending June 30, 2024.

“We understand how vital it is to have lifesaving equipment and we are happy to support the Nuckolls County Ag Society’s efforts to keeping our community members safe,” said Tami Campbell, regional vice president of customer experience in FCSAmerica’s Grand Island office.
