Mark A. VanNortwick, the son of D. Elmer VanNortwick and Ila Marie (Moe) VanNort- wick, was born July 10, 1958, in Belleville, Kansas. He died July 11, 2024, in Belle- ville, in his home at the age of 66 years.
Mark lived his entire life in Republic County, living on the farm and helping his family. He moved to Belleville in 2001. Mark attended school at Republic and Belleville, graduating from Belleville High School.
He worked at Food Mart, Alsop Sand Company and for 30 years at USD 427-109 in Belleville, retiring as director of transportation.
