Nuckolls County commissioners approved the one and six-year road improvement plan

On Monday the Nuckolls County commissioners approved the one and six-year road improvement plan submitted by the county roads department.

The one year plan includes 10 bridge replacements, five culverts and one overlay project. Of course, what is planned isn’t always what is done. Some of the proposed projects for this year may be delayed for various reasons.

The following projects are part of the one-year plan along with their estimated project cost:

Road E, between 4830 and 4880, culvert, $10,000.

Road B, between 3200 and 3400, bridge replacement and grading, $20,000.

Road 4450, between 1630 and 1700, culvert, $15,000.

Road S from 4370 to 4430, grading, $15,000.

Road 4900, between 700 and 730, culvert and grading, $4,000.

Intersection of Road 3100 and A, $5,000.

Replacement of Bridge C008504205P, $981,000. This bridge is located west of Bostwick. It is hoped bids can be taken later this year and work scheduled for early 2025

Road 4100 from Road T to Highway 4, grading. $24,000.

Road E, between 4100 and 4200, bridge replacement and grading, $50,000.

Road H, between 4110 and 4140, culvert, $20,000.

Road 3900, between 1920 and 1940, bridge replacement, $45,000.

Road 2700, just south of Road C, bridge replacement, $150,000.

Road D, between 3820 and 3840, bridge replacement, $108,000.

Road K, between 3240 and 3260, bridge replacement, $53,000.

Road N, between 3600 and 3620, bridge replacement, $78,000.

Road E, between 3775 and 3800, bridge replacement, $41,000.

Road Q, between 4850 and 4900, culvert, $55,000.

Road 4800 north of Road F, bridge replacement $130,000.

Road D, between 3000 and 3300, grading, $25,000.

Road 4700, between 640 and 660, bank stabilization with crushed aggregate, $55,000.

Road 4100 from Nora to Highway 136, overlay asphalt, $309,000.
