High risk notice for West Nile Virus in North Central Kansas

The Jewell County Health Department released the following notice Thursday:

The North Central Kansas area is under surveilance for West Nile Virus - high risk! Please drain any areas where there is standing water, wear long sleeves, pants and hats when outdoors and apply insect repellent.
