The Lawrence Country Club held a Two Person Scramble on July 14, for all those golfers meeting the requirement of being more than 50 years of age. Fourteen twosomes came out on a hot and humid day to compete. In the end, Dale and Tami Kohmetscher won the tournament by shooting an impressive two round total of 60. Second place with a 62 went to Lonnie Mazour and Tim Streff, third place with a 65 was won by Gary Buescher and Jerry Hoelting, and fourth in the flight were Randy and Peg Kohmetscher with a 68.
First flight winners were Russ and Donna Faimon with a 71. Others winners in the flight are as follows: Second place Wayne and Dave Kohmetscher 72, third place Johnny Himmelberg and Gene Kile 74, and fourth place Ron Janda and Randy Himmelberg 74.
Flag prize winners were: No. 2, closest to the pin on tee off - Donna Svoboda, No. 3, longest putt-Jerry Hoelting, No. 4, closest to pin on second shot - Jim Theer, No. 6, closest to pin on tee shot - Perry Ridgeway, and No. 9, longest putt-Dale Kohmetscher.
