Theodore (Theo) Bernard Kathman, 20, of Lawrence, Nebraska died on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Rosary was at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. (today) Thursday, July 11, both at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Lawrence, Nebraska, with Father Denton Morris officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Catholic Cemetery, Lawrence. The funeral luncheon will be in the Lawrence-Nelson multipurpose room in Lawrence on Thursday.Visitation was from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Lawrence Visitation Chapel, Lawrence.

Theo was born on Nov. 23, 2003 to Bernard Joseph and Mary Ellen (Theer) Kathman at Superior, Nebraska. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Lawrence, through the fifth grade and graduated from Lawrence-Nelson High School, Nelson, in 2022. He then attended and graduated from South East Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska, in May of 2024 with an associates degree in agriculture management and production. He was currently employed by Norder Supply near Bladen, Nebraska. Theo had been active in high school FFA, athletics, trap club and was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to hunt and fish. Theo liked to work with his hands and was a true farm kid at heart. He was a jack of all trades and a friend to all. Theo made a difference in the lives of those around him, always willing to help wherever needed. A son, brother, uncle and friend whom will be missed each and every day.
Theo is survived by his parents, Bernard and Mary Kathman, Lawrence, Nebraska; three sisters, Teresa (Adam) Heiser, York, Nebraska, Rebecca (Quinton) Royle, Litchfield, Nebraska, Rose (Aaron) Barnes, Lincoln, Nebraska; niece, Nora Royle; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Eleanor Theer, and paternal grandparents, Edmund and Mary Kathman; aunt, Patricia Kathman.
