The fireworks show at the Mankato City Park was a success Thursday night.
The 15th annual Burr Oak Community Club sponsored Independence Day Celebration took place at the Burr Oak Community Center on Friday evening, July 5. Beginning at 7 p.m. At about 9:30 p.m., the fireworks display began. It was a beautiful evening with little wind. Walt Wilson and his helpers, Jackson Chance and Nolan Harris, did a great job of keeping the fireworks going. A total of 33 large displays was set off.
