Shirley Uhrmacher, the daughter of Harold and Armilda (Hohl) Uhrmacher, was born on April 12, 1940, in Superior, Nebraska. She died on June 19, 2024, at the Superior Good Samaritan Society at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 2 months, 7 days.
Shirley attended Cadams grade school. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church being a lifetime member. She also was a member of Senior Citizen Center in Nelson.
She enjoyed playing different card games which included rummy, uno and pitch, she liked putting puzzles together and doing latch hook and needle point, and along with her mom, she went to sewing circles. Together, they enjoyed church luncheons and senior citizen socials. She enjoyed attending family picnics, visiting with friends and neighbors. The family appreciated her cards and phone calls. Shirley will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Armilda; her brother, Dale; and nephew, Jim "Pete" Keifer.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sally Uhrmacher of Nelson; nieces, Christy (Richard) Sole, Kathy (Mark) Dunn, Jeanie Keifer, Jennie (Jeffrey) Schultz, and nephew, Aaron Uhrmacher; eight great-nieces and nephews, Megan, Maverick and Mallory Sole, Molly and Kylee Dunn, Jacob Schultz, Joanie (Aldo) Villafuerte and Todd Keifer; great-great-niece Lucie Villafuerte; other relatives and a host of friends.
Her funeral was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at Klawitter-Price Funeral Home, Nelson, Nebraska with Royce Schott officiating.
Recorded music selections were "How Great Thou Art," "On Eagle's Wings," "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden."
Visitation was held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers were Aaron Uhrmacher, Richard Sole, Mark Dunn, Jeff Schultz, Todd Keifer, Jacob Schultz and Maverick Sole.
Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested to go to the family.
