Bruce Allen Burkhart, 60, from Mankato died peacefully June 23, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born in Wichita Jan. 6, 1964, to Shirley Folsom Burkhart and Herbet Allen Burkhart Jr. His parents divorced and his mother married Richard Minear. Richard Minear had four children he brought into the family, Sherri, Gilbert, Mike and Dick. Bruce liked them and considered them as siblings. He was preceeded in death by a younger sister, Lisa Burkhart Burns; mother, Shirley Minear; father, Allen Burkhart; and stepfather, Richard Minear.
He is survived by Jennifer Burkhart (Farhat Mehmood) and children, Sophia and Asher, Brandy (Jerod) Johnson and children, Lane and Hayden. He was also close to his nephew, Corey Minear, and his wife, Jenna. Bruce is also survived by his beloved cats, Nikki and Chevy, and a few close friends.
