Registration deadline for voter registration

Tuesday, July 16, is the deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration information to participate in the Kansas primary election. If you are 18 or older, and have changed your name or address since last registering, you must register to vote in the Aug. 6 primary election. Go to the Jewell County Clerk’s office at the Jewell County Courthouse to get registered by Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

The 14th Amendment of the Constitution defines citizenship and gives citizens the right to vote. The 15th Amendment prohibits the denial of the right to vote based on race, color or previous condition of servitude. The 19th Amendment prohibits the denial of the right to vote based on sex.

So as American citizen, it is your right to vote and have your voice heard.
