Internet provider denied county radio tower lease

The Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners met at the county courthouse in Nelson, Monday.

The board approved a utility permit for the Bostwick Irrigation District.

The board continued its ongoing review for the upcoming fiscal year budget.

The board approved seeking bids for remediation of the courthouse basement issues. The board declined to approve a lease with Superior iNet for its use of the 911 tower near Nelson. The company currently pays a flat fee and that will continue.

The courthouse is closed today (Thursday) to observe Independence Day. Normal business hours resume Friday.

The board will meet at 8:30 a.m., Monday, at the courthouse.
