Jeanette Hobelman

Jeanette Hobelman was born on April 9, 1939. She was the first of six children born to John and Gertrude Jahnke at Bancroft, Nebraska. She is survived by three sons: Terry, Donald (Kathy) and Alan; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lynn and Collin Jahnke; and sister, Cheryl Pinkley.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Donald Miller and second husband, Ken Hobelman; her sister, Arna Farabee; brother, Kevin Jahnke; and great-granddaughter, Henleigh Yoachim.

Jeanette enjoyed being a grandmother and was proud of great-grands. Her life was filled with music and sporting events, NU women’s volleyball and her own bowling accomplishments. She ended her working career at True Value in Hebron, enjoying every day.

Memorials have been established to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741.  

Her funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2024, at Southern Cross Church in Hebron, Nebraska. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron. A visitation was held on Thursday, June 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Price Funeral Home in Hebron.
