Savanna Chestnut will play Superior Auditorium Friday

Friday concert at Superior Auditorium

A rising star in the country music genre will perform at the Superior Auditorium Friday.

Savanna Chestnut and the Fieldhands will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The concession stand will be available.

Chestnut is a Kansas native raised in the Flint Hills. She has been singing since she was a young girl at her grandparents bar when they had karaoke night.

Her musical journey has taken her through dive bars, county fairs, festivals and rodeos. She was exposed to the national audience when she appeared on the show, The Voice, on NBC.

In addition to being a gifted and talented singer, Chestnut is an award winning songwriter.

She has shared the stage with such country luminaries as Tanya Tucker and Reckless Kelly. Chestnut has recorded three studio albums.

Chest noted “Country music has always been my shoulder to lean on, no matter what. I can always relate to it, and always rely on it. That’s how i want my songs to be to others, just honest, genuine country music.”
