The beginning of June brought new chairlifts to the Jewell County Historical Museum. The chairlifts were donated by Mindy Ost, the Curt Rafferty Family, and Trela Howard.
There is one chairlift on the southside of the museum that is a Brooks, and two on the northside that are Savaria. Each chairlift has a remote so they can be brought back to the floor they are needed at so if more than one patron needs to utilize the chairlift, they don't have to wait for it. With the installation of the chairlifts, the museum has made a better visiting experience for patrons who were unable to navigate the stairs. Now those patrons will be able to experience the whole museum.
New lights and fans have been installed upstairs in the northside of the museum. These were put in by the Curt Rafferty Memorial.
The chairlifts are among many of the updates to the Jewell County Historical Museum. If you were unable to navigate the stairs before, you will be ensured to be able to experience all of the historical wonders of Jewell County!
