Stacey Meyers died June 1, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was 51 years old.
Stacey was born on July 23, 1972, in Superior, to Kenneth and Susan Mohler (Dixon). She grew up in Superior and graduated from Superior High School in 1991. Stacey met her soulmate, James, during her sophomore year of high school. They were married on Sept. 21, 1991. They celebrated 34 years of marriage together.
Stacey and James started their lives and family together in Missoula, Montana, welcoming their sons, Austin and Marshall, while living there. After 17 years in Missoula, they made their way to Colorado in 2008 making Cedaredge their home. She worked at Drost Chocolate Shop in Delta, Colorado, and was known by many in the community for her contagious smile and kindness. When not working, she enjoyed time with James outdoors ATVing, reading, scrapbooking and making homemade cards to send to friends and family afar.
Stacey is survived by her husband, James; children, Austin (Rebecca) Meyers of Ellsworth, Michigan, and Marshall Meyers of Cedaredge, Colorado; siblings, Joseph (Teri) Mohler of Missoula, Montana, Kenneth (Janina) Mohler of Missoula, Montana, Laticia (Greg) Carter of Superior, Nebraska, Marcie (Josh) Cater of Sheridan, Wyoming; and her mother, Susan Mohler of Missoula, Montana.
Stacey was preceded in death by her brother, TJ Mohler; father-in-law, Lowell Meyers; and last month her father, Kenneth Mohler.
A viewing was held from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory in Delta, Colorado. The graveside service was held Friday, at the Cedaredge Cemetery.
