The Lawrence-Nelson High School golf team ended the 2024 season at the state meet last week. They earned a sixth place finish out of the 15 teams and 95 competitors taking part in the Class D meet.
L-N was paced by senior Jacob Kathman who shot an 83 on his first round followed by an 85 for a total of 168. Jacob was tied with two other golfers for 25th place.
Carson Vaughn, a junior, scored 87 and 88 for a 175 total and a tie with three others for 33rd place.
Senior Connor Janda scored a 90 followed with an 86 for a 176 total and a tie with four others for 37th place.
Bayln Bargen, a senior, came in with scores of 98 and 83 for a total of 181, tied with one other for 50th place.
Clay Williams filled out the five member team. The senior carded scores of 95 and 89 for a total of 184, tied with four others for 57th place.
There were a total of 95 golfers competing in Class D this year.
The 2024 team completes a successful season and served as quality representatives for the Lawrence-Nelson High School.
Jake Dane, a senior from Sandy Creek was low golfer for the tournament. He carded a score of 150 for the event.
