Lovewell State Park is hosting a Kids Fishing Clinic on Sunday, June 9. The Kids Fishing Clinic format will allow for an educational opportunity for kids interested in learning about fishing. The Kids Fishing Clinic will be limited to 30 kids, ages 7 to 15, and pre-registration will be required either in person at the Lovewell State Park office or by calling 785-753-4971. Pre-registration is encouraged by Friday June 7.
Lovewell State Park and Fisheries and Wildlife Division staff will host clinic sessions at Willow Group Shelter beginning at 10 a.m. In these sessions, participants will learn fish identification, knot tying, casting,fishing hot spots, and there will be a fish cleaning demonstration.
A hot dog lunch and drinks will be provided.
