The Rock Hills High School golf team competed at the state sand greens tournament Monday. The 18-hole match was played over the par 70 Tipton Oaks Golf Course at Tipton. Tipton Catholic was the host school.
The Grizzlies finished in seventh place, with a team total of 368, in the nine team field of Lakeside, St. John’s, Riley County, Chase, Pike Valley, Logan, Tipton and Western Valley.
Ethan Wirth led Rock Hills with a four under par effort. He finished in second place in the individual standings of 45 golfers.
Whitley Frost, Jevan Herfel, Nelson Underwood and Kiplee Kussman were the other team members. The four lowest rounds comprise the team score.
