The Superior High School boys and girls track and field teams closed out their regular season schedule at the Fillmore Central Invitational at Geneva Thursday.
The girls team finished in third place, with 97 points, in the seven team field of Centennial, David City, Malcolm, Fillmore Central, Thayer Central and Sandy Creek. The boys were in sixth place with 39 points.
Khloe Mundorf took third place in the 100 meter dash with her time of 12.9 seconds. Sadie Cornell was in sixth place with he time of 13.28 seconds. Ariana Heusinkvelt, Cora Schnakenberg and Trinity Cordis also competed.
Mundorf was in fourth place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 27.98 seconds. Ava Kirchhoff, Jordan Duncan, Maddi Bargen and Trinity Cordis also took part.
Faith Butler grabbed second place points in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:05.33. Olivia Smullins was in eighth place with her time of 1:13.8. Reagan Meyers also took part.
Halle Bargen crossed the finish line in second place in the 3200 meter run with her time of 13:56.29.
Smullins picked up sixth place in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 18.73 seconds. Maddi Bargen followed in seventh place with her time of 18.98 seconds.
Schnakenberg was in sixth place in the 300 meter hurdles with her time of 54.56 seconds.
The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Butler, Cornell Ariana Heusinkvelt and Mundorf secured second place points with their time of 52.4 seconds.
The 4 x 100 meter throwers relay team of Mia Gardner, Evah Roberts, M. Heusinkvelt and Meyers nailed down first place with their time of 57.73 seconds.
The 4 x 400 meter relay team of M. Bargen, Schnakenberg, Smullins and H. Bargen came in sixth with their time of 4:43.9.
M. Heusinkvelt nailed down first place points in the shot put with her toss of 41’6.5”. Lilly Edwards added third place points with her toss of 34’3.5”. Roberts, Jaialynn Leuking and Rayne Biltoft also competed.
M. Heusinkvelt claimed second place in the discus with her throw of 112’1”. Gardner was in third place with her effort of 110’6”. Meyers held sixth place with her throw of 101’3”. Roberts and Leuking also participated.
Meyers cleared the bar at 4’9” in the high jump for first place. Cayce Barry also took part in the event.
J. Duncan nabbed fourth place in the pole vault with the height of 9’. Butler was in fifth place with the height of 9’.
A. Heusinkvelt landed second place in the long jump with her leap of 15’8”. Cornell finished in seventh place with her leap of 14’2.5”. Kirchhoff was in eighth place with her distance of 13’6’.
Kirchhoff picked up fourth place in the triple jump with her combined distance of 30’6.5”.
Dayne Clark was in sixth place in the boys 100 meter dash with his time of 11.81 seconds. Thomas Mathis and Dylan Edwards also competed.
Lincoln Sander picked up sixth place points in the 200 meter dash with his time of 25.05 seconds. Kyler Boyles also ran the event.
Pandu Mateus competed in the 400 meter dash.
Deylin Lawson competed in the 1600 meter dash.
Benjamin Kramp held sixth place in the 3200 meter run with his time of 12:18.74. Brayton Meyer was in eighth place with his time of 13:04.95. Lawson also took part.
Mathis picked up seventh place in the 110 meter hurdles with his time of 22.39 seconds.
The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Mateus, Boyles, MAthis and Clark were in fourth place with their time of 49.12 seconds.
The 4 x 100 meter throwers relay team of Jaren Gilbert, Declan Miller, Christian Osweiler and Marcus Martin generated a fourth place finish with their time of 56.5 seconds.
The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Mateus, Boyles, Sander and Clark claimed third place with their time of 3:55.6.
The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Meyer, Kramp, Lawson and Mason Korb finished in fifth place with their time of 10:44.9
Mathis listed fifth place in the shot put with his toss of 44’3”. Boyles, Martin Osweiler and Justice Sander also competed.
Clark landed fourth place in the discus with his throw of 134’1”. Korb, miller and Martin also participated.
L. Sander secured first place in the long jump with his leap of 18’11.5”. Meyer was in eighth place with his leap of 15’9” Dylan Edwards took part in the event. L. Sander finished in third place in the triple jump with his combined distance of 38’7”. Meyer took seventh place with his distance of 33’6.5”. Edwards also took part.
Wildcat team members will be vying for places at the state meet when they compete at the District C-7 meet being held at Sandy Creek High School today (Thursday). The will be vying for spots against athletes from Doniphan-Trumbull, Exeter-Milligan-Friend, Fillmore Central, Hastings St. Cecilia, Sandy Creek, Sutton, Thayer Central, Tri County and Wilber-Clatonia.
