RAIN . . . Remember all those foggy days we experienced late last winter. They were supposed to forecast rainy weather in 90 days. Are we there yet?
Around this local area we’ve had approximately two inches of rain in the last few days. Pray that it continues.

Some time ago I noted that the liberal, federal government we now have seems intent to pass so many laws over so many areas that no matter what we do, we’ll be breaking a law some place. That will give the government control over all of us in some form, or another.
Then last winter I read a book about how Fidel Castro took over Cuba and installed a Communist government. What it did was to pass laws, just as I said above, but they went one step further. They came up with a system of “informers.” These were ordinary people who lived in communities just like everyone else, except, they were paid to inform on other residents whom they thought violated one law or another.
If the government wanted a resident to stop what they were doing, all they had to do was have one of his-hers neighbors report the person was breaking a law of some kind.
It worked. Many people ended up in jails, stopping them from doing whatever the government didn’t like.
It was a system the Cuban government copied from East Germany when East Germany was still under Russian control.
Well folks, we’ve reached the first part of the above mentioned system. Passing laws the liberal (so often Democrat) government wants to control what people say, or do.
Last week, Mr. Fred Lucas (a writer for the Daily Signal) reported the following: “Under new federal guidelines, an employer would be guilty of harassment for requiring someone to use a restroom that comports with his or her biological sex, or for referring to someone by a pronoun the person doesn’t want used.”
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission published the guidance on Monday. The guidance passed on a 3-2 vote, along party lines on Friday.
I don’t know about the younger generations, but this member of the older generation is going to have trouble with that ‘pronoun’ thing. I’m grateful I don’t have to promote something I really don’t believe in.
This whole thing about what is called “Transgender” people is getting out of control. I understand and support the idea that everyone should be treated equally. I understand some “Trans” people have been harshly treated in the past in many ways, and that was wrong. However, these laws being imposed on everyone these days are equally wrong forcing many people to reject religious beliefs.
The liberal (mostly Democratic) laws cannot change the fact that there are still only two genders in this world: male and female. No amount of government laws will ever change that.
That belief is similar (although maybe not a cruel) as some of the early residents in Mexico that believed by killing and sacrificing men on a daily basis would bring forth benefits for the people, like good crops, or victory over foes.

Along this line, I almost forgot to bring up another subject.
Many people get upset with our elected representatives as to what the government does. However, they are not always to fault.
Laws are passed by our elected representatives, but they often are used by government employees for a different purpose.
I just read an article about Title IX passed way back in 1972 and requires there be equal opportunities for men and women in schools across the country.
At the time it caused quite a bit of controversy as so often women were not treated the same as men in sports activities. At the time it was the norm as men thought they were ‘protecting’ women.
However, we now realize that women can play sports without any damage and it is only fair they are given the chance to play.
This was back in the day when men were men and women were women. Today, to quote an article by Virginia Allen in the Daily Signal: “The Biden administration is attempting to redefine sex to include gender identity and sexual orientation.”
Yes, the government wants to allow men who say they are really women to play the same sport as women. Your elected representatives had nothing to do with promoting and passing this change. They could (and should) however, go back and correct this change.
Government employees did this most likely on behalf of the president. Hopefully your elected representatives will stop such wasteful activity of the government.
